It is produced by the esterification of terephthalic acid and methanol, and is usually a white acicular crystal or white crystalline powder. It is usually white needle-like crystals or white crystalline powder, with a melting point of 140.6℃ to 142℃ and a boiling point of 283℃ to 288℃.
