Product Description

Anhydrous Citric Acid is an important organic acid with a wide range of uses. The following are its main properties and uses: Properties: Appearance: Anhydrous citric acid is white translucent crystals or powder, odorless, and has a strong sour taste. Solubility: Easily soluble in water and ethanol, with a solubility of 59.2 g/100 mL in water at 20°C. Stability: Easy to weather in dry air, slightly hygroscopic, softens at 75°C, and melts at 100°C. Acidity: The pH value of a 1% solution is 2.31. Uses: 1. Food and beverages: Acidifier: Widely used in the production of beverages, juices, canned foods, candies, jams, jellies and other products, making the product sour and refreshing, and fruity and sweet. Color protectants: Used to prevent discoloration caused by enzymatic browning of fruit and vegetable raw materials. pH adjusters: Used in canned foods, jams, jellies and other products to lower the pH value and inhibit the growth of spoilage microorganisms. Antioxidant synergist: prevents food from oxidative browning. 2. Medical field: Anticoagulant: anhydrous sodium citrate can be used for blood transfusion. Diuretics and expectorants: anhydrous sodium citrate can be used to make diuretics and expectorants. 3. Chemical field: Buffer: a buffer composed of alkali or salt is used to control the acidity of the solution. Chelating agent: has a strong chelating effect, can complex Fe³⁺, and weaken the effect of Fe³⁺ on corrosion. Cleaning agent: used to remove metal oxide scale such as iron and copper, easy to operate, safe, and suitable for a variety of materials. 4.
