The chemical formula of Pentaerythritol is C5H12O4, the molecular weight is 136.146, the melting point is 257℃, the boiling point is 380.4℃, the density is 1.396 g/cm³. It is a white crystalline powder, soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in benzene, carbon tetrachloride, ether, petroleum ether and so on.

Pentaerythritol should be stored in a cool, ventilated warehouse, away from fire and heat sources. It should be stored separately from oxidizers, acids, etc. and equipped with corresponding fire fighting equipment.
